What an exciting year 2019 is turning out to be! It started back in February when American Patchwork & Quilting editor Jody Sanders called me to share the exciting news--Hen & Chicks Studio had been selected to be featured in the Fall 2019 edition of Quilt Sampler magazine.

We couldn't share the news to the public until Quilt Market in May 2019. Boy was it hard keeping this news a secret!!
Then in Kansas City American Patchwork & Quilting magazine hosts a special announcement event in their booth. Editor Jody Sanders introduces all of the shops and shows of their original quilts. So, in the photograph at left, you can see Jody introducing me and our featured quilt, Blue Oasis.

There was even some photo fun during the day, when photographer Jacob Fox caught himself jumping on camera.
Capturing our store front meant standing in the middle of the street. No one was hurt.
Longarm rental is a growing part of our business and we were so excited that our customer Andrea Rouse was willing to be photographed as she machine quilted her projects.

On August 27, 2019, Hen & Chicks Studio hosted an open house to celebrate being a Top Shop and featured in Better Homes & Gardens Quilt Sampler magazine. Such an exciting time!
