Marshalltown Broadcasting (KFJB) & Hen & Chicks Studio100 Days to Christmas Contest Rules

(Contest Dates: September 11, 2017 to September 15, 2017)

The following are rules governing The Hen & Chicks Studio 100 Days to Christmas Contest on Marshalltown Broadcasting, Inc. (MBI) radio station KFJB-AM or listed on MBI website www.1230kfjb.com.

In all rules, MBI refers to radio station KFJB-AM, where applicable.

No purchase is necessary to enter the 100 Days to Christmas Contest MBI and Hen & Chicks Studio contest.

This MBI and Hen & Chicks Studio contest will have specific rules that may amend eligibility values, and these rules will be aired on MBI during said contest. Only one winner per household is permitted per contest. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.

Contest winners, as well as all members of the winners’ household (those who reside in the same home as the contest winner) are ineligible to win or qualify for any other prizes or prize packages for a period of 30 days.

Any prizes valued over $600 the winner is responsible for federal tax. The winner will receive a 1099 which is reported to the federal government for income tax purposes.

Anytime you call the MBI studios you assume that your call will be broadcast or recorded and you grant us permission to broadcast the call or record it for a later broadcast.

As a winner of this MBI and Hen & Chicks Studio contest, your voice, name, and/or picture may be used for promotional, broadcast, or internet purposes.

Prizes awarded are not redeemable for cash. No prize is transferable. No substitution for a prize will be made at the request of a winner. MBI and Hen & Chicks Studio reserve the right to substitute a prize of similar value.

All winners of the contests are responsible for all taxes on prizes if applicable.

This MBI and Hen & Chicks Studio contest is open to all eligible U.S. residents 18 years of age or older. Contestants must possess a valid form of identification bearing the picture of the contestant acceptable to MBI and Hen & Chicks Studio that will be presented to Hen & Chicks Studio and accepted before the prize is awarded.

MBI and Hen & Chicks Studio employees are not eligible.

Winners will be expected to claim prize at the Hen & Chicks Studio, 101 N. Main St., Conrad, IA between 10am and 5pm, Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) & between 10am and 3pm on Saturday within 30 days of being notified that they are winners. If prize needs to be shipped the winner is responsible for paying and shipping charges.

All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.

MBI and Hen & Chicks Studio reserve the right to disqualify any winner if any contest rules are violated in any way.

MBI and Hen & Chicks Studio, assumes no liability for situations, repairs, or incidents arising from any aspect of any prize awarded in any contest. MBI and Hen & Chicks Studio, their advertising agencies, contest sponsors, employees, and immediate families of each absolve themselves and shall be held harmless from any action or liability arising from any contest or prize awarded in any contest.

MBI and Hen & Chicks Studio reserve the right to interrupt and/or discontinue any contest or promotion (and not award the offered prizes) at the discretion of MBI management and Hen & Chicks Studio management if world events, the national mood, or public safety so warrant.

For any contest requiring phone entry you must use only the following number unless otherwise specified: (641) 752-5352(KFJB). The person operating the telephone at MBI has the final decision as to who is the winning caller.

MBI and Hen & Chicks Studio shall have no responsibility for failure to win or claim any prize based on difficulties with telephone, facsimile, email, internet difficulties, or any circumstances in any contest.
